Thank to dear darling Davy M who read my blog and linked me to this amazing reminder of my teenage years:
And my favorite cover version of “Summertime Blues” is there.
This led me to downloading a memory from when I was 15 years old – the T Rex album that I adore and lost vinyl of years ago! My heart thanks Davy, while my logical mind and purse scream – NO – “If you do this today, then what tomorrow? – be circumspect!” -Hahahaha
ITunes is so easy to use for my musical fixes – in the same way that Amazon is great for my reading fix.
Both offer these potent dolly mixture of drugs that allow you easy access to those things in life that lift your spirits, enhance your appreciation of the finer creative things in life, and generally get you high, high, high.
Now, I do have an addictive personality so the temptation to download even more stuff is always there. However, I really do not want to form a crater in my purse and bankrupt myself to the “ITune” of downloads galore.
So such bands as ACDC, Alex Harvey, Camel, Pretenders, Bowie, ELP, Bonzo Dog, etc, etc – you will all have to get in the queue and wait till I am feeling that the time is right for a download – maybe I could make it a monthly habit only?
Trouble is there is so much new stuff to listen to as well that the choice is mind-boggling.
However, as far as I am concerned, music will always be my lifeblood and is therefore invaluable for my health.
So I will am totally hapyy if I am always hooked on this drug – and today I just had a wonderful transfusion!
