A very apt title for what I am doing in terms of the work I carry out currently as well as the way this Company is working at the moment.
I am here to contact our wonderful members when they have a problem understanding, using or trusting the Company enough to post comments on websites which upset the powers that be. Never mind the fact that this is the 21st century and it is a different game from when I was a girl. Now ALL things go “Viral” in minutes and the world has shrunk to the size of an IPhone (and smaller). You can carry the world with you easily and access it wherever there is Wifi or a signal for your SIM card.
The web sites for complaints seem to take great delight in accepting your complaints for posting BUT try to remove them and?…… oh well THAT is an entirely different matter – after all they ARE sites for complaints and therefore even a retraction is not that simple! In fact there is a complicated art to doing a retraction.
So why worry about postings on websites?
People forget when they post these comments that it is out there for, in some cases, ever! You showing the world you are a moaner – OMG – too much negativity! It can actually work to write and talk to the Company you are moaning about you know! You will probably get a faster result as well if the Company is really interested in you as a customer.
When it comes to a retraction, this is not always a solution either. It just shows that you didn’t handle the problem properly in the first instance. And then again, removing a complaint can also show you as a person who cannot make up their mind or handle their problems in a sensible civilised manner!
There will always be good posts/comments/remarks/reviews as well as bad ones – and in fact if there were NO bad ones it would be very suspicious. After all, a really clever terrorist would NEVER be suspected of being one, and the less knowledgeable people of the world would also be shocked when they saw who is actually destroying the planet, our lives and our liberty. But that for another day and a different soapbox!
I am simply today advising people to really think long and hard before putting it out there when you are unhappy with something or someone because these comments can really come back to bite you along the way!
And neither a removal or a retraction is as effective as good communication after all!
