Trafficking?

So let me give you an idea of the traffic laws today in Goa, India:

1. Driving out of Margao towards Navelim – municipal policeman stops and asks for my licence – I produce an international licence and he smiles and congratulates me on having the right licence – coz most people don’t. I smile back and tell him yep – I do not like paying fines so that is why I am legal! (Am sure he has gritted teeth in that smile!)

2. Driving out of Nuvelim towards Cuncolim (on highway now) national policeman stops me for not wearing a helmet and I have to pay Rs 100/- fine (circa $2 or £1.50). He smiles and gives me a signed piece of paper (presumably that means it is not going in his back pocket?!?) to show to any other police I meet today as this fine entitles me to drive anywhere WITHOUT a helmet until midnight!

Those were the traffic laws Today – let’s see what tomorrow brings eh? Love this country and all it’s trafficking!

About travell1ngthroughl1fe

I am a fun-loving person who goes with the flow and travels through life most of the time though sometimes I have to be responsible when others try to get me on their track! Most of the time though people tell me I am barking mad! hahahaha! Life is short but oh so sweet so I believe in looking out for the bright side of life and I can always find a positive in everything! Half-empty glasses are not for me. Negativity is an ill I want to cure in everyone. Only after you heal your own soul can you help to really heal the world. So when you need help, ask for it and where it is offered, gratefully accept it as a gift.
