Duck day afternoon?

Well today Big Buddha smiled down from the top of the mountain but I couldn’t see him.

The plan to hire a scooter and visit Karon and Kata beaches as well as the big man himself went slightly awry when rain stopped play this morning.

So having deferred the trip out by scooter, I wandered off for a Thai breakfast of omelette and coffee in the trickling rain and then returned to my guesthouse to write a few things, check a few details of flights to Bangkok and just generally laze around, drinking coffee and whatever.

Having checked the weather report I think these stormy skies are set in for a few days so I will be doing very little here for the remainder of my stay if that is the case. Which is probably a good thing as I need to simply relax really.

Having said that I may have to hit the department store and shopping centres here for my shopping trip instead of in Bangkok. Realising things are cheaper there, I still would need to get a new place to stay and transport myself around so am now even considering whether to simply head there on Thursday itself and spend more time chilling here. The only MUST  is that I have to be in Bangkok on Thursday to get my flight in the evening.

The heavens have opened here and all things are literally fluid, so let’s go with the flow and make like a duck and let the water drip down my neck and off my back for the time being.ducky

About travell1ngthroughl1fe

I am a fun-loving person who goes with the flow and travels through life most of the time though sometimes I have to be responsible when others try to get me on their track! Most of the time though people tell me I am barking mad! hahahaha! Life is short but oh so sweet so I believe in looking out for the bright side of life and I can always find a positive in everything! Half-empty glasses are not for me. Negativity is an ill I want to cure in everyone. Only after you heal your own soul can you help to really heal the world. So when you need help, ask for it and where it is offered, gratefully accept it as a gift.
