Home – shopping- a hobby?

Not that long before I head back to the UK for a visa renewal and I am trying to consider all the things to get here that family may like – possibly the Ayurveda and herbal health stuff would be most beneficial and appreciated – such stuff in UK is not cheap of course – so Himalaya products and Bio-tech on the shopping list I feel.

The major thing I have to consider though is how much of certain things to bring back with me and how to keep food cold or frozen when travelling – any ideas very much appreciated – I am considering whether I could do vacuum bags and then wrap them in a moon blanket or similar???

I need to get cheese, cheese and more cheese – but how well does it freeze, freeze, freeze?

The problem here with cheese (or the lack of it) is NO selection really and what little there is costs double the price of UK!!!! UK cheese prices not cheap either so it’s very restricting and I do love my cheese!

Apart from cheeses, the 85-90% dark chocolate will be on the list. It HAS to be got as I can’t get it here at all – in fact very little dark chocolate here and what there is has something different in it to cope with the hot climate I think.

Other than that the only other thing will be the decaffeinated coffee fill-ups (Kenco preferred) as again Decaff not a standard in the supermarkets here and once again the price is restrictive.

So that is the start of my shopping list – now I have to find the time to start shopping. However, I can make a start tomorrow perhaps as am Off to Panaji tomorrow with 2 German friends.

That will then get me in the mood perhaps for shopping in the UK – shopping not being my favourite hobby, unlike many people I know!

About travell1ngthroughl1fe

I am a fun-loving person who goes with the flow and travels through life most of the time though sometimes I have to be responsible when others try to get me on their track! Most of the time though people tell me I am barking mad! hahahaha! Life is short but oh so sweet so I believe in looking out for the bright side of life and I can always find a positive in everything! Half-empty glasses are not for me. Negativity is an ill I want to cure in everyone. Only after you heal your own soul can you help to really heal the world. So when you need help, ask for it and where it is offered, gratefully accept it as a gift.
